Let’s do some fun journaling today with below journal prompts. These journal prompts aren't solely about writing; they also involve jotting down activities you enjoy for a reset.

Prompt 1 – Enjoying Life's Simple Pleasures

1.Imagine having an entire day completely free. What would you choose to do? It could be as simple as a brief stroll in the park, a relaxed picnic with friends, or anything else that brings you joy. Estimate how much time you think you'd need for each activity and jot down your thoughts.
Here are some examples:
1. Reading a Book – 15 minutes
2. Enjoying a Cup of Coffee – 15 minutes
3. Reading My Bible – 20 minutes
4. Listening to the Soothing Sound of Rain – As long as I desire
5. Painting a Picture – 4 hours
6. Indulging in a Netflix Night with Popcorn – 2 hours
Now it's your turn. What would you add to your list?
2. Allocate time during the week to wholeheartedly engage in one activity purely for enjoyment, without the pressure of productivity or achieving goals. Embrace life, savor the moment—it's a gift from God.
Prompt 2 – Tackle Your Troubles

In life, there are some things that may bother us. Instead of allowing them to fester, consider writing them down and addressing them one by one. Below are a few examples:
Things That Bother Me | How I Can Address Them |
A cluttered room with fallen hair on the floor—it feels like the floor will be covered in hair unless I sweep every day (should I even mention this? Haha). | -Hire a cleaner to come twice a month. -Explore purchasing a cordless vacuum. |
Unhealthy eating habits and feeling too tired to meal prep weekly | -Attend healthy cooking classes for motivation. -Opt for meal prepping twice a month instead of every week, which should suffice.
|
As I write this, I realize that I don't have to strive for perfection in everything I do. Taking small steps forward is often enough, and sometimes, investing money can effectively resolve a problem.
We often hear the phrase "let your money work for you." It's not just about saving and investing your hard-earned money; it's also about improving your quality of life. Once you eliminate the "bugs," you can devote more time to focusing on things that truly matter.
Now it's your turn. What would you add to your list?
Prompt 3 – Gratitude List

Take a moment to capture the little pleasures that bring you happiness and express gratitude for what you have by writing them down. Here are my examples:
Acquiring a Set of Jo Malone Perfume: For years, I longed to own a Jo Malone perfume set but felt the price was beyond reach. Recently I decided to get one set for myself, I had a dilemma of whether I should get one 30 ml bottle for one scent, or 9ml x 5 bottles, smaller bottle but with 5 different scents. After some consideration, I decided to go with the latter, the moment the shop assistant put the perfume set in the paper bag, I feel amazing, it’s like buying a gift for myself.
Receiving a Kind Customer Compliment: A customer said they were happy with my service and gave me a compliment. It's normal for customers to be happy when their problem is solved, but it's rare for them to give compliments on their own. I'm thankful for that lady's kindness and took the time to thank her.
Now, it’s your turn. What brings joy to your life?
